Job Summary
We are seeking a Faith driven Christian, Outgoing and Energetic Coach to join our team! As a Coach and mentor to our youth. You will design and lead high level practices and drills, offer guidance and mentorship, and assist with team administration for the High School Levels. If you have a sports or coaching background and want to make a real difference in the lives of children, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- BUILDING THE TEAM / RECRUITING (Or bring over athletes you already have)
- Must be available from 4pm-8pm Monday-Fridays and Weekend Tournaments
- Travel costs are paid for by Goliath Academy
- Follow age-appropriate workouts focusing on technique, endurance, skill development, and drills.
- Lead structured practices
- Able to travel with a team and drive team vans.
- Provide positive feedback, guidance, and encouragement
- Individualize practices to suit each child’s abilities
- Communicate with parents/guardians
- Follow all health and safety guidelines
- Assist with all administrative matters relating to the team
- Bonus (Able to assist in building a Saturday rec league for younger kids 6-12 ages)
Qualifications
- Previous experience in coaching is preferred or College level or higher playing levels
- Comfortable with speaking to and educating parents
- Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics is preferred but not required
- First aid and CPR-certified. (We can assist)
- Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
