re:Cycle Reverse Logistics is an electronics processing, reuse, and recycling company that works to extend the life of used electronic equipment through reuse, repair, and recycling. We are a stand-alone company within the Amazon corporate family that provides services to other Amazon companies. We specialize in the handling of valuable electronic equipment that was originally used in data centers. Come join our team and be a part of history as we deliver results for the largest cloud services company on Earth!

The re:Cycle Reverse Logistics team is looking for a detail-oriented, experienced professional to join the RRL Global Security team. You will have experience developing and maintaining security policies and standards, ensuring compliance with industry certifications, and conducting security risk assessments in high-security environments. You will have professional experience working with compliance frameworks, devising security strategies, reviewing projects and change management activities, and driving improvements to our security posture.

You will support and uphold the high standards of security policy, compliance, and risk management for an organization that performs decommissioning services of Data Center Hardware in a high-volume industrial environment. The team receives parts, performs sanitization procedures, maintains inventory, and performs visual inspections as needed following all data security and environmental compliance procedures.

This role requires a self-starter who can work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and drive initiatives forward with minimal oversight across a geographically distributed organization.

Key job responsibilities

Your responsibilities include creating, maintaining, and continuously improving security policies and standards for RRL Global Security, ensuring alignment with ISO, TAPA, NIST, and R2V3 certification requirements. You will review projects and change management activities within RRL for compliance to certifications, internal standards, and policies, and perform security risk assessments to provide leadership with best practices on security policy and procedures.

You will routinely collaborate with partner teams within RRL and external customers to enable new processes and increase operational efficiency. You will evaluate proposed changes and projects to ensure they meet security compliance requirements before implementation, and identify opportunities to streamline security processes and reduce risk across RRL"s global operations.

The ideal candidate will be a confident, detail-oriented, and analytical professional who can communicate complex compliance requirements clearly and effectively. You must have the ability to interpret and apply multiple regulatory frameworks, work comfortably with ambiguity, and define structure, processes, and standards where none yet exist.

This role requires the ability to travel to RRL locations globally to conduct on-site security assessments, support certification audits, and collaborate with site security teams.

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
