The Royalty Finance team plays a key role in supporting the commercial, financial, and operational success of the business. We support royalty-related processes that help ensure financial accuracy,standardization,strong controls, and effective decision-making across the organization.

About the role:

This individual contributoris a detail-oriented professional with strong operational and complianceexpertisewithproficiencyinfoundationalfinancial acumen.Theyreport to the Global Royalties Finance Managerand willpartnerclosely with product, technology, content, and commercial teams to ensure evolving product and content initiatives are executed in a compliant, controlled, and fiscally responsible manner. 

Responsibilities include royalty operations activities, implementing and improving financial and operational royalty-focused processes and controls, communicatingstandardbusiness requirements, analyzing data toidentifyand resolve anomalies, calculating financial impacts, and driving risk-aware solutions. The ideal candidatedemonstratesstrong analytical capabilitiesand the ability to think end-to-end across interconnected systems and processes, bringing a controls-focused mindset and curiosity to assess broader business impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifiesfinancial control gaps, evaluates risk exposure and potential P&L impact, and drivestimelyremediation through structured corrective actions

  • Performs detailed financial data analysis to detect anomalies and reinforce financial governance standards

  • Applies established internal control frameworks to address routine control and compliance matters

  • Proactively explores and tests LexisNexis commercial products (e.g., Lexis+ AI, Nexis+ AI) tovalidatebusiness logic, content behavior, pricing configurations, and customer workflows thatimpactfinancial and royalty processes

  • Develops, documents, and enhances financial policies, standard operating procedures, and end-to-end process flows to ensure compliance and reporting integrity

  • Ad-hoc projects & involvement may beto perform as the companyreasonably requires

  • Analyzes complex financial and operational data toidentifytrends, variances, risks, and opportunities, and communicates the key takeawaysinto actionable insights

  • Proactivelyidentifiespotential risks, gaps, or process issues and takesappropriate stepsto mitigate them before theyimpactfinancial accuracy, timelines, controls, or stakeholder outcomes

  • Works with moderate guidance while developing deeper subject-matterexpertise

  • Demonstrates responsible and effective use of AIand large language modeltools byidentifyingopportunities to automate or accelerate work,strengthen insights,reduce cycle times,and improve communication, whilemaintainingaccountability for accuracy, data privacy, and ethical application

  • Champions governance, accuracy,accountabilityand operational integrity

  • Communicateseffectively to influencetechnical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accountingwith minimum3years of experience

  • Experience in operational controls, financial analysis, compliance, or process management

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Comfortable working with structured datasets, pivot tables, and data validation techniques (in Excel and beyond). Basic SQL knowledge a plus

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $65,100 - $108,500. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates.
