Purpose
The Global Quality Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of processes and systems supporting the company's quality standards and programs. This role leads and supports global quality initiatives, production and quality audits, and customer satisfaction programs. The position also provides training and technical guidance to employees across global sites and requires international travel (up to 40%).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, lead, and maintain global quality programs such as Customer Surveys, Quality Manuals, Document Control Systems, Change Control, Cross-Site Audits, Final Audit, Supplier Quality, and Customer Quality Improvement initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate assigned global quality projects, including QMS IT systems, MES, data exchange platforms, B2B solutions, and XML/CofC implementations.
- Conduct and/or lead production, quality assurance, and cross-site audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Participate in Global Quality Review meetings, providing expertise, guidance, and support to sites to improve overall quality performance.
- Lead and facilitate customer satisfaction and continuous improvement (CIP) initiatives across global operations.
- Deliver training and technical knowledge to employees in support of global projects, Quality improvement, systems, and quality programs.
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience preferred, preferably within the semiconductor or high-technology manufacturing industry.
- Master's degree may substitute for required work experience.
- Proficient knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality standards.
- Certifications in Auditing, Quality Management, Six Sigma, or Project Management are preferred.
- Working knowledge of IT systems, software platforms, and Artificial Intelligence concepts.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and failure analysis techniques.
