Job Summary

Under the minimal supervision of the Vice President, the successful candidate will drive the development, creation, and implementation of high-quality, global, coordinated cross-functional project plans for products in accordance with the program strategy. You will lead internal resources as well as client-side resources to develop the program, identify its goals, and execute to completion. Additionally, you will be responsible for the ongoing management of the programs; identifying and managing changes, tracking and monitoring internal and external program KPIs, developing plans that drive excellence in execution, ensuring continual program success, and identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement towards the growth of the program.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with functional leads to develop high-quality, integrated, cross-functional plans for sub-teams aligned with the overall program strategy.
  • Travel frequently to our Guadalajara location.
  • Ensure cross-functional alignment and accountability.
  • Manage the operation of departments to confirm that assigned programs are completed according to specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Communicate regularly with Taiwan headquarters and customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss any program issues.
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding the program's status and any potential problems.
  • Forecast potential schedule delays and develop alternate plans.
  • Drive the development and timely completion of annual WPT goals and input to the Global Product Strategy.
  • Document issues, decisions, and action items of functional work package teams and ad hoc project team meetings.
  • Conduct risk management and scenario planning and develop contingency and/or risk mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate activities with external business partners and alliances, where applicable; contribute to a successful partnership outcome.

Staff Development

  • Attend staff/development meetings.
  • Participate in staff training as arranged.

Qualifications

  • Certificate in Program Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field is required.

Skills and Specifications

  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin or English and Spanish is required.
  • Flexibility with work schedules and willingness to travel to different work locations (Guadalajara).
  • Management consulting experience preferred.
  • 5 years' program/project management experience.
  • 5 years' working in or with corporate procurement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required; ability to relate and communicate well with clients or suppliers.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task. Must be able to work well in a fast-paced and customer-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to establish, develop, and manage relationships with executives.
  • Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and troubleshoot.
