AWS is looking for a Senior Manager to lead executive relationship strategy and execution for our Worldwide Public Sector Partners organization. AWS Partners are independent organizations-ranging from startups to global enterprises-that build, market, and sell solutions alongside AWS. These members of the AWS Partner Network leverage AWS technologies, funding, and tools to deliver specialized cloud services, consulting, and software solutions to customers worldwide.

This role focuses on building and leveraging senior-level relationships with defense and federal civilian Partners-from defense industrial base primes and defense technology companies to systems integrators and solution providers supporting government missions-turning those connections into meaningful business outcomes.

Reporting to the Director of Global Executive Relations, this role operates at the intersection of government mission priorities and transformative technology. You"ll work directly with AWS Partners" senior leadership to identify, cultivate, and activate executive relationships that open doors to defense and federal civilian customers, accelerating pipeline and revenue.

We"re looking for someone with strong existing relationships across the defense and federal civilian Partner ecosystem-someone who understands how these agencies buy, how Partners win work, and how AWS fits into that equation. You thrive in complex, fast-moving environments, operate with discretion, and know how to translate executive relationships into measurable business outcomes

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Key job responsibilities

Build Relationships That Matter

  • Identify and cultivate executive relationships with C-suite leaders, board members, and senior decision-makers across AWS Partners serving defense and federal civilian missions
  • Map the AWS Partner landscape to pinpoint high-impact engagement opportunities tied directly to revenue opportunities
  • Develop strategic relationships with think tanks, advisory firms, and industry organizations to expand AWS Partners" reach and influence in defense and federal civilian markets

Design and Deliver Executive Engagements

  • Plan and execute high-impact engagements-from private executive meetings and roundtables to defense technology summits, Partner forums, and programming at major conferences-designed to convert one-time meetings into ongoing partnerships
  • Prepare AWS Partners" executives for high-stakes moments: keynotes, panels, briefings, and one-on-one meetings with senior government and industry officials
  • Support senior AWS Partners leaders with brand positioning, thought leadership, speaking engagements, media opportunities, and executive communications
  • Represent AWS at key defense and federal civilian industry forums

Convert Relationships Into Business Outcomes

  • Own the follow-up process after engagements-connecting government and industry executives with AWS Partner leads to align mission requirements with cloud solutions
  • Track engagement outcomes and demonstrate clear ROI through pipeline contribution and revenue attribution

Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
