About this Role

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking a GL/TAX Administrator to support the accounting and tax functions through accurate recordkeeping, reconciliations, compliance support, and timely processing of financial information. This role helps maintain the integrity of general ledger activity and tax-related documentation while partnering with internal teams to support reporting, filings, and audit readiness. The GL/TAX Administrator plays an important part in maintaining organized, accurate, and compliant financial operations.

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and post journal entries, account reconciliations, and other general ledger support activities.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes by gathering data, preparing schedules, and resolving routine discrepancies.
  • Support tax compliance activities, including sales and use tax, property tax, business registrations, and related filings.
  • Maintain organized tax records, exemption certificates, notices, and supporting documentation.
  • Help compile information for internal and external audits and respond to routine document requests.
  • Review financial data for accuracy and escalate issues or variances as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining accounting procedures, documentation, and internal control processes.
  • Work with internal departments to collect information needed for accounting entries, reporting, and tax support.
  • Track deadlines and help ensure timely completion of recurring accounting and tax tasks.
  • Provide additional administrative and accounting support to the finance team as needed.

What You'll Bring

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting, general ledger, tax support, or related finance experience.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Experience supporting tax filings, reconciliations, and audit documentation preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks accurately.
  • Good organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams and meet established deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience working in an ERP or accounting system.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.
