Create Music Group is based in Hollywood, CA and has 400 employees worldwide.Job SummaryIn this role you will support the day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close process across a fast-growing, multi-entity organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both transactional accounting and analytical work, with exposure to financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives.Working closely with the Accounting and Finance teams, this individual will help ensure the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger while supporting timely financial reporting in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow within a dynamic music and entertainment company.ResponsibilitiesGeneral Ledger & Month-End CloseSupport the monthly financial close process by preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedulesReconcile and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts including cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, leases, revenue, and operating expenses, etc.Investigate discrepancies and resolve accounting issues in a timely mannerAssist with maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP and company policiesPrepare and maintain audit-ready documentation and account supportAssist with recurring accounting processes and high-volume transactional activitySupport audit requests and preparation of audit-ready workpapers for external auditorsAssist with annual audits, compliance filings, and ad hoc projectsPerform flux and variance analysis to identify trends and unusual activityPartner cross-functionally with FP&A and operational teams to support reporting accuracy and financial visibilityProcess Improvement & SystemsIdentify opportunities to improve close processes, reconciliations, and workflow efficiencyCollaborate with internal departments to gather accounting information and streamline processesSupport ongoing enhancements to accounting systems, reporting tools, and internal controlsOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred2-4 years of relevant accounting or audit experience (Big 4 preferred)Experience in private equity-backed or high-growth environments preferredStrong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger accountingHigh attention to detail with strong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft ExcelExperience with NetSuite, Tipalti, or FloQast preferredInterest in music, entertainment, or digital media industries is a plusPay Scale$75,000 - 85,000 per year, Hybrid in Office Monday/WednesdayThe final compensation within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.In accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider employment for qualified applicants with criminal histories.
