Gift and Estate Tax Senior Specialist (Full-Time) ( Hybrid in Princeton, NJ )
Location: Hybrid in Princeton, New Jersey
Salary: $175K- $200K Base Salary plus Bonus

Must Haves:
  • 1 5 years of progressive experience in gift, estate, and trust taxation.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring and maintain a portable book of business generating $500K annually.
  • Strong technical expertise in federal estate, gift, and GST tax planning.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Proven track record of sourcing, developing, and closing new business.
  • CPA required; MST, LLM in Taxation, or JD preferred.

We are seeking a highly experienced Gift & Estate Tax Professional with 15 years of expertise in sophisticated tax planning and compliance.
This individual will play a strategic leadership role within the firm and is expected to bring a portable book of business generating at least $500,000 annually, while actively expanding the firm's high-net-worth client base.
This is a growth-oriented opportunity for an entrepreneurial professional who thrives on relationship building, technical excellence, and business development.


Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Technical Leadership
  • Provide advanced gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and families.
  • Design and implement complex estate planning strategies, including trusts, family limited partnerships, GRATs, charitable structures, and wealth transfer vehicles.
  • Oversee preparation and review of Forms 709, 706, fiduciary returns, and related filings.
  • Advise clients on tax-efficient wealth transfer, business succession planning, and asset protection strategies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, financial advisors, and internal tax teams to deliver comprehensive planning solutions.

Business Development
  • Transition and manage an existing portable book of business of at least $500,000 in annual revenue.
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand the firm's estate and gift tax practice.
  • Identify and cultivate referral sources, including attorneys, wealth managers, family offices, and private bankers.
  • Represent the firm at networking events, industry functions, and client seminars.
  • Mentor junior professionals and contribute to practice growth initiatives.

Qualifications
