Job Description:
The GFF Procurement Process Supervisor is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, recommending, and implementing improvements in end-to-end processes and programs for the International Air Freight product. This position develops global standards, processes and programs within their identified area of responsibility. This position monitors the health of assigned processes, programs, policies, systems and tools to identify pain points and then develops and implements solutions to eliminate identified issues. The GFF Procurement Process Supervisor serves as the UPS Subject Matter Expert in their area of assigned responsibility. This position may supervise others.
Additionally, this position has a firm grasp on data analysis techniques and can leverage them to draw insights from data that can be used to inform business decisions. This role will independently own and manage various procurement tools, systems and processes that assist the global International Air Freight team in managing air transportation spend.
Basic Qualifications:
Working knowledge of SQL and Excel – Required
Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment – Required
R or Python programming language knowledge – Strongly Preferred
Experience with data cleaning, data processing, and data visualization – Strongly Preferred
Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent in Accounting, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, or related discipline and/or 3 years of UPS experience – Preferred
Experience with web scraping, task automation, and computer vision – Preferred, but not required
Experience with statistical analysis and AI/ML techniques – Preferred, but not required
Candidate must be geographically located in area or willing to self relocate
