This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of mining (including tailings storage facilities), civil and infrastructure projects throughout Western Australia.About the RoleYou will be responsible for the preparation, installation, configuration, commissioning, operation and maintenance of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring systems across a variety of projects. Working closely with engineers and site teams, you'll play a key role in supporting ground control, risk management, and operational safety outcomes. The role is Perth based, with travel to projects (fly and drive) as required.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, commission, and maintain geotechnical instrumentation systems, including piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers, load cells, strain gauges and vibration meters, and the data acquisition devices for those systems.Conduct field testing, inspections, routine maintenance and troubleshooting.Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, project specifications, and safety standards.Collect, validate, and report monitoring data to support engineering decisions.Work collaboratively with engineers, contractors, and site personnel.Assist with supervision and coordination of field activities where required.About YouWe're looking for someone with practical technical capability and a proactive, safety‑first mindset.Experience in geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring (mining, civil or infrastructure).Hands‑on experience installing and maintaining instrumentation systems.Exposure to mining environments.Strong understanding of QA/QC processes and site compliance requirements.Ability to manage and communicate monitoring data effectively.A strong commitment to safety, risk identification, and hazard management.Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.If you have hands‑on experience with geotechnical instrumentation and enjoy working in dynamic site environments, we'd love to hear from you.Why Tetra Tech Coffey?Work with a leading geotechnical and environmental consultancy.Exposure to major WA projects across mining and infrastructure.Supportive team culture with opportunities for career development.Competitive salary including overtime.Be part of a team delivering high-quality monitoring solutions that directly impact safety and performance.#J-18808-Ljbffr
