Geotechnical Engineer

Pay Range: $80,000 – $120,000 Annually
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer with 5+ years of experience to support a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and municipal projects.
Ideal candidates will bring a Professional Engineer License (P.E), strong report writing and reviewing experience, project oversight capabilities, and a solid geotechnical background.
Responsibilities:- Prepare proposals, scopes, and project budgets for upcoming work
- Manage geotechnical projects from initiation through completion
- Perform and oversee geotechnical analyses and write detailed geotechnical reports
- Review, mentor, and co-sign reports prepared by other engineers
- Track project budgets, invoicing, and overall financial performance
- Coordinate and schedule field crews, drilling operations, and technicians
- Provide technical recommendations to drilling crews, field staff, and clients
- Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5–15+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required
- Experience with geotechnical reports for City of Chicago projects would be a plus
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
