    The Strata program's mission is to provide geospatial visualization services (GVS) that facilitate access to GEOINT data and products in an online, on-demand environment to agencies across the Federal Government. The GVS suite of services are provided to the community in various formats to allow integration across a wide variety of client technologies and applications. Strata also provides applications that can be used to visualize GEOINT as well as additional utilities & technologies that aid in visualization.

    This role will support the Strata program based out of Herndon, VA. The DevSecOps Engineer will be a member of the Operations Team who support our enterprise system and services to ensure Strata systems operate well and customer needs are met.

    • As part of the Operations team, you will collaborate with the customer, subcontractors, local engineers, and geographically dispersed teammates and customers to ensure GVS systems operate well according to contractual requirements
    • Perform systems maintenance such as security scans, software patching, and troubleshooting operational issues
    • Work with customers to solve issues and answer questions regarding GVS capabilities and services.
    • Regular on-call support, outside of 6 am- 6 pm, is required for this position and requires the ability to physically access the Herndon DEP II facility.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Linux command line experience
    • Prior experience with web server troubleshooting (e.g., Apache or Apache tomcat)
    • Prior Tier 2 troubleshooting experience
    • Experience using QGIS, ESRI's ArcGIS software suite, or OpenStreetMap (OSM)
    • CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain the certification prior to start
    • Active Top Secret Clearance to Start with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

    Desired Skills:

    • AWS experience
    • Operational server monitoring using tools such as Zabbix and ELK/Splunk
    • Experience with automated configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, or Puppet) for multi network deployment
    • BS in software engineering, systems engineering, geographic information systems, related technical field, or equivalent military or job experience
    • Active TS/SCI clearance

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
