  • Interacting with pupils in ways that support the development of their ability to think and learn, including the use of effective questioning.
  • Communicating effectively with pupils, families, carers and other agencies, as appropriate.
  • Supporting children with their personal, social and emotional development.
  • Encouraging inclusive and positive play and promoting positive relationships.
  • Assisting class teachers in implementing appropriate behaviour management and teaching and learning strategies.
  • Supporting individuals and small groups of pupils to access learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Supervising and supporting pupils during the lunchtime period to ensure their safety, wellbeing and enjoyment.
