Job Title: General Orthopedic Surgery and Trauma Doctor

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated General Orthopedic Surgeon with a focus on trauma and surgical care to join a well-established and growing practice in New York. This role offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, providing comprehensive orthopedic care to a diverse patient population.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing acute orthopedic injuries, performing a wide range of surgical procedures, and delivering high-quality post-operative care. The practice offers strong clinical support, modern facilities, and the opportunity for significant earnings growth.

Compensation & Benefits- Base Salary: $400,000
- Performance Incentive Potential: Up to approximately $1M total compensation
- Initial Employment Structure: First 3 months as a 1099 contractor, transitioning to employed status

- 2 weeks vacation
- 5 days CME
Work Schedule: Depends on the hospital
Call Schedule:- 1 weekend per month (phone coverage only)
- 1 in every 4 days
- No additional compensation for call
Clinical Responsibilities- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of orthopedic conditions, including traumatic injuries
- Perform surgical procedures such as fracture fixation, joint repairs, and other general orthopedic surgeries
- Provide inpatient and outpatient orthopedic care, including consultations and follow-ups
- Manage pre-operative and post-operative care to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Respond to on-call cases, including emergency and trauma-related orthopedic needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including primary care physicians, physical therapists, and other specialists
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and preventive care
Qualifications- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Completion of an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency program
- Fellowship training in Orthopedic Trauma is preferred but not required
- Strong surgical skills with the ability to manage a wide range of orthopedic cases
- Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
