The Whitefish Bay School District is seeking a Part-Time (21% FTE Minimum) General Music Teacher to work at the elementary level, serving both Richards and Cumberland Elementary Schools. The ideal candidate will be student-centered and have deep musical and teaching knowledge and skills. Training or experience in Orff Schulwert or Gordon''s Music Learning Theory (MLT) is helpful. This teacher will work collaboratively with the rest of the Specials Team.

Candidates should have a desire and proven track record of nurturing students academically, socially, and emotionally in a classroom of diverse learners. With an expectation of continual growth for all students, candidates should understand the growth mindset and embrace the challenges of creating well-managed classrooms that provide engaging instruction. Preference will be given to candidates with proven skills in problem solving, developing strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and a strong work ethic.

The successful candidate will hold or be eligible for valid Wisconsin DPI certification in Music (General).
