The General Manager (GM) is the face of Tatte within our communities and to our guests. The GM is responsible for all facets of front of house café operations dedicated to delivering a warm, authentic, and inspiring environment for both guests and team members, thoughtful leadership, and overall café performance. Our GMs work side by side with front and back of house teams to drive operational excellence, hospitality, and overall four walls performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We expect our General Managers to:
Lead with professionalism, accountability, and hospitality excellence
Deliver exceptional guest experiences while upholding Tatte’s service and operational standards
Support and develop managers and hourly team members through coaching and leadership
Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, food safety, and operational execution
Drive strong financial and operational performance across the café
Live Tatte’s core values and help support our mission
Have flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies as needed
Summary of Responsibilities
Demonstrate full ownership of café operations, including four walls performance and P&L management
Model authentic, warm hospitality and foster excellent guest experience standards
Ensure cafés are staffed with team members who embody Tatte’s values and culture
Develop managers and hourly team members through coaching, accountability, and performance management
Lead and navigate difficult conversations professionally and respectfully
Continuously uphold Tatte brand, visual, and operational standards
Lead teams through efficient operational execution and shift management
Ensure food safety standards are consistently upheld throughout the café
Lead café level communication and change management initiatives
Manage food, labor, and controllable costs within company expectations
Oversee all café administrative responsibilities
Other related assignments as necessary
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergencies as needed
Ability to work 10+ hour shifts and stand, sit, squat, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods of time
Ability to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Required
Minimum 2 years of experience as a General Manager, preferably within high volume, full service, or polished fast casual restaurant environments
Ability to work effectively within fast paced and evolving environments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
High integrity and professionalism
High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred
Hospitality degree preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Previous experience with UltiPro, Toast POS, CrunchTime, and TeamworX preferred
ServSafe, Allergen, and ChokeSaver certifications preferred
