South Boston is B/SPOKE's flagship studio — three floors, four training rooms (Ride, Lab Strength, Lab Yoga/Pilates, Lift), a REVIVE recovery suite (sauna and cold plunge), and our Reign Drink Lab (F&B operation). It is the most complex and highest-volume location in the portfolio.
We're looking for a General Manager who sees that complexity as opportunity. This is not a maintenance role. The right person will drive revenue growth, develop their team, champion the South Boston community, and raise the bar on what a B/SPOKE studio can be. You'll lead two Assistant Studio Managers, the full front desk team, and you'll be on the floor — visible, present, and accountable — not behind a desk.
What You'll Own
Business Performance
Full P&L accountability across all formats. Manage revenue, costs, and budget performance with precision.
Build and execute marketing, community, and corporate partnership initiatives that drive acquisition, retention, and frequency.
Develop business projections and lead strategic planning conversations with the Regional Director.
Bring a commercial lens to every decision — from scheduling to staffing to client experience investments.
People & Culture
Lead, develop, and coach two ASMs — building their ownership, capability, and readiness to hold the studio independently.
Hire, onboard, and develop front desk staff. Maintain a high talent bar: hire for character and capability, manage performance with consistency and care.
Set the standard for B/SPOKE culture and hospitality at our most visible location. Build genuine relationships with clients, instructors, and the South Boston community.
Delegate effectively. Empower your team to own their shifts and solve problems without micro-management.
Operations
Ensure consistent execution across three levels and four rooms — from room prep and format transitions to cleanliness and brand standards.
Manage the REVIVE offering end-to-end: safety protocols, booking, client orientation, and facility standards.
Strategically staff against class schedule demands to meet net profit targets and deliver a seamless client experience.
Manage conflict and lead through change — in format programming, policy, or market conditions — with a solution-oriented mindset.
What We're Looking For
The right person has done this before — or something close enough that the gap is small and the drive is clear. You are not intimidated by complexity. You are energized by it. You think about how to grow, not just how to maintain.
Required
3+ years in a senior studio, gym, or hospitality operations role
Proven track record of hitting and exceeding financial targets
Experience managing and developing direct reports
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable with a 7-day schedule (one weekend day required, one weekday off)
Fluent in data and KPIs — you use numbers to make decisions, not just report them
Preferred
Experience with multi-format fitness or wellness operations
Familiarity with recovery amenities (sauna, cold plunge, or similar)
Background in community engagement or partnership development
Knowledge of the South Boston market
Compensation & Schedule
Base Salary: $100,000–$110,000
Bonus: Up to 10% annual performance bonus
Schedule: 40 hours per week, including one weekend day (with one weekday off in exchange)
What Success Looks Like
90 days: You know the studio inside out — the schedule, the team, the regulars, the quirks of each room. You're building trust with your ASMs and the instructor community.
6 months: The studio is consistently hitting performance targets. Your team operates with clear ownership and accountability. The South Boston client experience is a genuine differentiator in the B/SPOKE portfolio.
9 months: You're developing your ASMs for growth, building a community that keeps clients coming back, and running a studio the rest of the organization looks to as a benchmark.
