Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a General Manager for its operations at Bethany Home in Ripon, CA.  The General Manager will report directly to the District Manager and will oversee all food service operations.  Bethany is a remark­able, Chris­t­ian, faith-based senior liv­ing com­mu­ni­ty, where every­one wel­comes one anoth­er. Bethany offers four unique inde­pen­dent liv­ing neigh­bor­hoods from cozy one-bed­room apart­ments to spa­cious two-bed­room cot­tage homes.

What You'll Do

The successful candidate will:

  • have oversight of day-to-day dining and culinary operations;
  • control and ensure company and client financial targets and goals are achieved;
  • ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved;
  • provide technical training and expertise, coaching and leadership to the production team while working side by side in the operation as needed.

What You Bring

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:

  • have a passion for a high level customer service and culinary arts, with a strong culinary production background, ideally in a healthcare or retail setting;
  • a background in seniors or healthcare;
  • are able to develop trust and build strong client relationships while meeting the expectation of the client as well as Sodexo;
  • have demonstrated experience managing a culinary team and exceptional human resource skillset;
  • are hands-on, and have an innovative leadership approach to management;
  • are able to work independently and make sound business decisions within company guidelines;
  • have the ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • possess strong financial acumen and experience managing a food service operations budget;
  • are experts in compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
