Role Overview:

Sodexo is looking for our next General Manager - School/Child Nutrition to manage food service operations at Montrose County School District in beautiful Colorado.   

 

Candidates must demonstrate strong budgeting expertise, exceptional client relationship management, and a proven ability to engage and motivate employees.

 

This role is responsible for overseeing all daily food service operations, including—but not limited to—staff scheduling, training, HR functions, menu development, ordering, point‑of‑sale management, catering services, and special events.

 

The ideal candidate is highly organized, an effective public speaker, and proficient in computer applications such as MS Office, point‑of‑sale platforms, payroll systems, and related operational software.

What You'll Do:
  • have oversight of day-to-day operations;
  • create a positive working environment;
  • have a strong financial acumen and achieve company and client financial targets and goals;
  • have experience managing multiple locations;
  • integrate fully within our client’s organization becoming a trusted adviser and member of the accounts leadership team;
  • develop and execute a strategy to accelerate business growth;

  • lead and motivate the management team, inspiring strategic direction;
  • ensure the fulfillment of all contract commitments;
  • sustain client satisfaction and retention; and
  • maintain strong employee relations.

What You Bring:
  • have a work history demonstrating strong employee engagement leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate’s degree with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field

Minimum Management Experience - 3 years

Minimum Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
