As the Founding General Manager of Blank Street''s first location in Rhode Island, you''ll have the unique opportunity to introduce our brand to an entirely new community. This is more than opening a store, it''s building something from the ground up. You''ll hire, coach, and inspire an exceptional team, create a culture people are excited to be part of, and set the standard for what Blank Street looks and feels like in Providence.

What You''ll Own

Lead Great People

• Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Shift Leads and Baristas.
• Create an engaging culture where people feel supported, challenged, and excited to come to work.
• Lead hiring, scheduling, performance management, and training to build a strong, capable team.

Deliver Exceptional Hospitality

• Lead by example and create memorable customer experiences every day.
• Ensure every drink and food item meets Blank Street''s quality standards.
• Inspire your team to deliver warm, consistent hospitality with every interaction.

Run an Outstanding Café

• Own the day-to-day operations of your café, including inventory, labor, and operational excellence.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and employees.
• Partner with HQ to successfully launch new products, initiatives, and ways of working.

Grow the Business

• Own your café''s sales, profitability, and overall performance.
• Build relationships within the local community and represent the Blank Street brand.
• Use data, customer feedback, and coaching to continuously improve your team''s performance.

What We''re Looking For

• 4+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced consumer business.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong operational, financial, and business acumen.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• A hands-on leader who can prioritize, delegate, and make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment.
• Passion for hospitality, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and developing people.
• Collaborative, positive, and committed to continuous learning and growth.
• Experience managing inventory and ordering.

Benefits & Perks

• $70,000-$85,000 annual salary

• Blank Street, in good faith, believes that the posted salary range is accurate for this role at the time of posting. Our salary ranges are rooted in the desire to pay competitively relative to our organization size and industry, reflecting just one part of the total compensation package. Blank Street may pay more or less than the posted range based on factors such as relevant experience and skills, qualifications and location, among others. This range may be modified in the future.
