Purpose
Responsible for direction and coordination of dealership activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations, maximize profits, and decrease delinquencies by performing the following duties personally or through delegation to Associates, Assistant Managers and or Satellite Managers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Manage the financials for the dealership by setting sales targets, monitoring expenses, maintaining company procedures and effective inventory management.
• Provide excellent customer experience through personal interaction by phone, in person and by written communication.
• Establish effective routines to review and manage inventory, sales and collections.
• Hire, grow, and supervise Associates and managers.
• Ensures compliance of all Associates with established security, sales, recordkeeping and governmental and/or regulatory policies, procedures and practices.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your direct manager.
• Daily attendance, following company policies and procedures are essential in the success of this position.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise Associates in the Office, Sales, Collections and Service. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include overseeing all dealership activities, goals; interviewing, hiring, and training Associates; planning, analyzing business data; assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one year of management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. General mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and inspect vehicles and identify repair issues.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to apply an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical form and deal with several variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
Computer Operations
Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, Microsoft Suite which includes Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc. Be able to master Company’s purchased commercial and Company specific software.
Planning/Organization
Prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments, tasks and projects.
Physical Demands
• Regularly up to 2/3 of the time required to sit; reach with both arms and hands; stand; walk; stoop, kneel, bend, twist, crouch or crawl.
• Frequently over 2/3 of the time required to talk and hear; use fingers, handle or feel.
• Frequently over 2/3 of the time may lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently up to 2/3 of the time required to have both Close Vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).
Physical Activity Level
Medium physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities such as of a primarily service nature.
Work Schedule/Hours
Normal 50 hour schedule as assigned by direct supervisor based upon job requirements. Schedule and/or hours may be adjusted with a need for additional hours depending upon business demands.
Work Environment
• Frequently over 2/3 of the time exposed to weather conditions (extreme hot or cold temperatures, and or rain snow or other weather conditions from working outside.)
• Occasionally under 1/3 of the time exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, or electrical shock; fumes or airborne particles.
• Regularly up to 2/3 of the time exposed to moderate noise (business office with computers and printers, light traffic or parking lot noises, and moving mechanical parts).
Travel
Up to 30% - Moderate travel by land and/or air. Overnight travel could be required.
