Role Overview
The General Manager (GM) will lead Operation Sports by managing editorial direction, business strategy, and community engagement. The ideal candidate has experience in digital media, gaming journalism, or sports gaming communities, with a passion for sports simulation games and industry trends. You will collaborate with editorial, marketing, and partnership teams to expand revenue opportunities, optimize content strategy, and enhance user engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define and implement a long-term growth strategy for Operation Sports.
Editorial & Content Oversight: Work with editorial teams to ensure high-quality coverage, including news, reviews, and in-depth features on sports video games.
Business & Revenue Growth: Identify and execute monetization opportunities, including paid memberships, affiliate marketing, and partnerships.
Community Engagement: Strengthen and grow the Operation Sports community, leveraging forums, social media, and new engagement tools.
SEO & Audience Development: Use analytics and SEO best practices to increase traffic and engagement across platforms.
Partnerships & Industry Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with game developers, publishers, and esports organizations.
