LHH is assisting a well-known property management company in sourcing their new General Manager | Merced, CA

The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and operations of a retail/mall property located in Merced, CA. This role leads the on-site team, drives financial results, and ensures a high level of tenant and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee property financial performance, including budgeting, expense management, CAM reconciliations, and tenant compliance reporting

  • Lead, manage, and develop on-site staff to achieve operational and performance goals

  • Manage vendor relationships and service contracts to maximize property value and tenant experience

  • Resolve tenant and customer issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Partner with senior leadership to implement processes that improve efficiency, tenant satisfaction, and profitability

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 10+ years of progressive property management experience

  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and reporting

  • Proven leadership experience overseeing teams and operations

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commercial real estate experience (7+ years)

  • Real Estate License

  • Experience with property management or facilities systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, SAP)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
