LHH is assisting a well-known property management company in sourcing their new General Manager | Merced, CA
The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and operations of a retail/mall property located in Merced, CA. This role leads the on-site team, drives financial results, and ensures a high level of tenant and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee property financial performance, including budgeting, expense management, CAM reconciliations, and tenant compliance reporting
Lead, manage, and develop on-site staff to achieve operational and performance goals
Manage vendor relationships and service contracts to maximize property value and tenant experience
Resolve tenant and customer issues in a timely and professional manner
Partner with senior leadership to implement processes that improve efficiency, tenant satisfaction, and profitability
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
10+ years of progressive property management experience
Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and reporting
Proven leadership experience overseeing teams and operations
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Commercial real estate experience (7+ years)
Real Estate License
Experience with property management or facilities systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, SAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
