Club: • 360 memberships representing 2400 members, • 2 dedicated member restaurants, Trading Company, member services, Hualalai Villas & Homes property management & rental business, grounds & landscaping, watersports, tennis.

Owner Summary/View of Needs

General Manager with experience in a high-performing/ Forbes 5 star property preferably with resort experience and proven in developing an exceptional team.

Values-driven leader who 'starts with the heart' and protects the spirit of aloha

Effective at leading large, tenured teams in high volume environments whilst driving quality

Experience with proven results in capital project management

Proven results in guest experience, driving quality and innovation in a Forbes 5 star environment

Ability to lead and collaborate with a senior PC team and drive employee engagement

Savvy commercial skills with ability to identify business opportunities and build long term strategies

Capable of building meaningful partnerships with channel partners in both leisure and group segments

A thoughtful leader, in tune with latest industry trends with the ability to innovate and drive the guest experience

Ability to actively build relationships within the local community and support homeowner/ member relations

Current Leadership Requirements

Culture carrier; ability to not only drive FS culture but also understand and embrace local culture and spirit of aloha

Innovative thinking that drives high touch and world class product

Strong ability to drive margins, manage labor and expenses while exceeding guest experience metrics

The capability to understand the nuances and sensitivities between the different users of the resort (guests/ members/ renters) and work in tandem with Club Leadership to provide exceptional service to all.

Ability to exhibit high discretion and privacy management

People

Ability to effectively coach and manage tenured employees

Ability to motivate and inspire leaders and line employees

Ability to navigate a non-union culture with sensitivity to outside influences

Exceptional personal presence with employees and guests; highly engaged in day-to-day operations with the ability to de-escalate conflicts when handling complex requests or complaints with a calm authority

Product

Excellent guest and members engagement

An eye for detail with the ability to drive service standards and a relentless drive to maintain product

Proven track record of improving Qualtrics, Forbes and LQA. The resort has held Forbes 5 star rating for 18yrs

A demonstrated ability to be creative and innovative in their approach to product and service, utilizing technology

Stylish with experience and eye for design

Profit

Strong revenue management skills with the ability to identify trends and make necessary adjustments

Proven ability to enhance operating revenues through F&B, Spa and other operating departments

The ability to optimize efficiencies including the embracement of technology, manage labor, without compromising service and quality

Ability to interpret and analyze financial reports and take necessary actions

Takes initiative and reacts quickly to changing business environment
