General Manager

Gpac is working with a well-established agricultural cooperative in Eastern South Dakota is seeking a General Manager due to an upcoming retirement. This is a stable organization with strong community ties, loyal customers, and consistent profitability.

The cooperative has been operating for 30 years and has approximately $35MM in annual revenue. It is a full-service operation serving growers across multiple divisions.

Operations include:

• Grain: 2MM bushels (truck-only)
• Agronomy: 16,0000 tons of fertilizer
• Energy: 900,000 gallons
• Feed mill: 1,300 tons a month
• Team of 30 employees with 3 direct reports overseeing key divisions

Recent investments have been made in grain and agronomy facilities to support continued growth. The board is active and focused on long-term success.

What you’ll do:

• Lead operations across grain, agronomy, energy, and feed
• Oversee division leaders and staff
• Manage grain merchandising and market activity
• Drive safety, efficiency, and financial performance
• Work with an engaged board and local producer base

What they’re looking for:

• Strong background in grain operations with merchandising experience required
• Leadership experience in multi-division ag or cooperative operations
• Ability to manage teams and drive accountability
• Steady, forward-thinking leader

Compensation and benefits:

• up to $165,000 base salary
• Profit sharing bonus
• Company truck
