The VCS is a federal agency under the Department of Veteran Affairs and operates cafés, retail stores, coffee shops and vending machines across the country.Duties:
The General Manager oversees all aspects of canteen operations in Garner, NC, including retail, food service, vending, sales, merchandising, and accountability. This role entails comprehensive personnel management, administrative oversight, and process evaluations related to canteen functions, such as planograms (POGs), retail point-of-sale (RPOS) systems, inventory control, stock scheduling, food safety, sanitation, and promotional initiatives. Additionally, the General Manager is responsible for achieving financial targets and executing program objectives as directed by the Veterans Canteen Service Central Office (VCSCO) and/or the Regional Director.
