General Manager - French Bakery Café & Restaurant Concept

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on General Manager to lead the opening and ongoing operations of a high-profile French-inspired bakery café and restaurant concept in Texas.

This is a unique opportunity to become the founding operational leader for a new location. The General Manager will be responsible for building the team, establishing the culture, driving financial performance, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences from day one.

The ideal candidate is an energetic and service-focused restaurant operator with strong P&L management experience, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Leadership

• Serve as the operational leader for the restaurant and café
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop management and hourly team members
• Establish a culture focused on hospitality, accountability, and teamwork
• Lead by example through active participation in daily operations

Operations Management

• Oversee all Front-of-House and Back-of-House operations
• Ensure consistent execution of food quality, cleanliness, and service standards
• Manage opening procedures and support successful launch execution
• Maintain compliance with all company policies and health regulations

Financial Performance

• Maintain full P&L responsibility for the location
• Manage labor, food costs, inventory, and controllable expenses
• Analyze business performance and implement strategies to improve profitability
• Drive sales growth while maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction

Team Development

• Coach and develop Assistant Managers and hourly team members
• Create training programs and performance expectations
• Build leadership succession plans and support employee growth
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment

Guest Experience

• Ensure every guest receives exceptional hospitality
• Maintain strong visibility in dining and service areas
• Address guest concerns professionally and effectively
• Uphold brand standards and operational excellence at all times

Qualifications

• 3+ years of General Manager experience in restaurant, café, bakery, or hospitality operations
• Strong P&L management and cost control experience
• Experience hiring, training, and developing teams
• Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to work alongside the team
• Experience in bakery cafés, fast-casual, polished casual, or full-service restaurants preferred
• Bakery, culinary, or food production knowledge is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Positive attitude with an ownership mentality

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $75,000 – $80,000
