The General Machine Operator operates various production machines such as collators, laminators, punch and coating machines, performing routine operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Responsibilities include preparing machines at shift start, completing paperwork, cleaning and preparing work areas, and performing basic repairs. Overtime may be required.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, basic math and reading skills, multitasking ability, good communication, and preferred but not required computer and mechanical skills. Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.
Physical requirements involve standing, walking, grasping, lifting up to 25 pounds regularly, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, with vision and dexterity needs. The work environment is primarily indoor with moderate noise, exposure to machinery, chemicals with PPE, and minimal dust. Employees should be prepared for emergencies and respond appropriately.
