Job Title: General Liability Claims Specialist - Bodily Injury
Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite) (Kearney Mesa)
Pay: $35-$40/hr. (DOE)
Employment Type: Temporary (4+ months, possibility of extension based on business needs)
We're seeking a General Liability Claims Specialist with experience in bodily injury to manage complex General Liability claims, including litigated matters, high-exposure BI losses, mediations, and settlement negotiations. This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly with defense counsel and clients while handling challenging claims from investigation through resolution.
What You'll Handle
Manage GL & auto claims with BI exposure
Investigate liability, damages, and coverage
Evaluate medical records, determine claim value, and set appropriate reserves
Independently manage litigated claims in partnership with defense counsel
Negotiate settlements and attend mediations
Draft coverage letters, RORs, disclaimers
Requirements
3+ years of General Liability claims experience
Bodily injury claims experience (required)
Experience managing litigated claims from start to resolution, preferred
Proven ability handling moderate to complex exposures
