Jonathan's Place is accepting applications for a General Ledger Accountant in our Accounting Department. This position is responsible for accounting, financial reporting and analysis, for government grants, including cost reimbursement and/or fee for service contracts.

GrantManagement
· Ensure grant-related services are recorded and tracked appropriately in accounting systems. Maintain all supporting documentation.
· Updateand maintaingrantmanagementmodel foraccounting,managementreporting,and audit purposes. Reconcile to General Ledger.
· Evaluateeligibilityforreimbursementbasedoncontracttermsandapprovedbudgets.
· Prepareandsubmitrequestsforreimbursementpergrantor’spublishedschedule.
· Preparemanagementreportsandparticipateingrantreviewsperestablishedschedule.
· Participateingrantapplications,budgetrevisions,andprogramauditsasneeded.
AccountsReceivable
· Monitorfee-for-serviceactivity,reportandresolvediscrepancies.
· Ensuretransactionsarerecordedaccuratelyinthegeneralledger.
· Preparemanagementreportsandrelatedanalysisbyestablisheddeadlines.
Month-EndProcessing
· Prepareandenterbiweeklypayrolljournalentries.
· Prepareandenterclosingjournalentriesintoaccountingsystem,includingbutnotlimitedto
· Subledgers:postpayables,receivables,andgiftstoGeneralLedger.
· Recurringcostsforrent,bankfees,andmerchantfees.
· Investmentaccountactivity.
· Depreciationoffixedassets.
· Prepaidexpenses.
· Restrictedassets.
· Reconcile GLaccounts and bank reconciliation asassigned,reviewwithCFO.
· Assistwithpreparationofmonthlyfinancialpackage.
Other
· Prepareanddistributemanagementreports(departmentalbudgetversusactualreports).
· Maintainrecordsforaudit.
· Assistwithyear-endduties,includingpreparingandrecordingaccruals.
· Documentprocesses(deskprocedures).
