General Labor / Heavy Lifter
Position Summary HireQuest Direct is seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers and Heavy Lifters to support our clients across a variety of industries including warehousing, manufacturing, construction, and distribution. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are physically fit, reliable, and ready to work.
Responsibilities
- Perform general labor tasks as directed by site supervisors
- Lift, carry, and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50+ lbs.
- Load and unload trucks, pallets, and materials by hand or with equipment
- Assist with site cleanup, material handling, and basic assembly tasks
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and PPE requirements
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance on assigned job sites
Requirements
- No experience necessary
- Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for the duration of a shift (8 hours or more)
- Steel-toed boots required
- Reliable transportation and consistent availability
- Preferred Qualifications
- Prior construction, or lifting experience
- Forklift or pallet jack experience (a plus)
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
Physical Demands This is a physically demanding role. Candidates must be comfortable working in varying temperatures and outdoor or industrial environments.

Safety is a priority. Workers must follow all site safety rules, wear required PPE (hard hat, safety vest, gloves, steel‑toe boots), attend safety briefings, use proper lifting techniques, and report hazards or injuries immediately. Drug‑free work environment required.
