Job Summary:

Position Title:  Food Service Assistant
Location: Parker Dam, CA 92267.
Duration: Up to 6 months
Work Schedule: 6:30 am – 4:30 pm OR 10 am– 8 pm (4/10) Including Sat & Sun (rotation)

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
This is a general labor position, for which the O&M Assistant will be required to clean the guest lodge and dormitories at Gene, Iron, and Eagle. Required to serve/ prepare sack lunches, prep, restock, and clean work areas at Gene and Iron Mtn kitchens. Will deliver items, serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and work weekends to serve meals for CRA Inspection trip tours. Other duties include organizing, assisting lodge assistants, transporting tour guests, and other related duties for the Guest Services.
  • Checks tools and equipment in and out using the designated tool-tracking system; coordinates the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment; organizes the tool crib and maintains appropriate inventory levels based on demand; performs material pick-up and delivery; performs material kitting and staging.
  • Picks up, sorts, and delivers mail, packages, and freight.
  • Cleans facilities, vehicles, and watercraft; and assists with routine operations and maintenance.
  • Transports tools, parts, and equipment.
  • Assists with general administrative duties, which may include filing and data entry.
  • Assists with kitchen and lodge operations, including food preparation, serving, and clean-up.
  • Operates vehicles, forklifts, scissor lifts, or light equipment.
  • May perform traffic control duties such as flagging.
  • Assists with grounds maintenance such as digging ditches; operates relevant tools and equipment.
  • Performs other related Operations & Maintenance Assistant job duties as required.

  • San Bernardino County, CA Food Handlers Certification $22 (Online within 3 days before start date)
  • Defensive Driver Certification
  • Valid CA/AZ Class C Driver License or its equivalent that allows you to drive in the course of your employment
  • Education: High school diploma or general education development test (GED)
  • Experience: Min. 1 Year related experience in housekeeping, food service, and general janitorial
  • The food industry is a must
  • 70% Kitchen work (Food prepping, Busser, and server)
  • 30% Housekeeping
