The Shredder Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining industrial shredding equipment used in the recycling process. This role ensures that materials such as paper, plastics, metals, or electronics are properly shredded for further processing or disposal. The operator must follow safety protocols, monitor equipment performance, and assist with routine maintenance to ensure efficient and safe operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate shredding machinery in accordance with facility protocols and safety standards.
Load recyclable materials into the shredder using forklifts, conveyors, or manually.
Monitor shredding equipment to detect malfunctions or irregularities.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the shredding machines.
Sort and separate materials before and after shredding as needed.
