ATSS has a client in Mobile, AL looking for a General Foreman in their Paint Department.

*Please note that a minimum of 5 years of experience in marine and/or industrial blasting and painting is required for this position in addition to supervisory experience.

Work Hours:
Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime and weekend work as needed.

Pay Rate:
DOE and interview. The pay will fall within a range of $34.25 – $37.00. Please understand that final compensation will be determined after evaluation.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides leadership and coordination for multiple Foremen and craft teams across assigned production areas. Ensures work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project schedules, quality standards, and company objectives. Serves as the primary link between Foremen and the Craft Superintendent to support execution of production plans and resolve operational challenges.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·Directs and coordinates the activities of multiple Foremen and their crews to meet production schedules and project milestones

·Works closely with the Craft Superintendent to plan, prioritize, and execute workload across multiple jobs or work fronts

·Ensures consistent application of safety standards and actively promotes a strong safety culture across all assigned crews

·Monitors job progress, manpower allocation, and resource utilization; adjusts as needed to maintain efficiency and productivity

·Communicates daily with Production Leadership regarding job status, priorities, and issues impacting performance

·Provides guidance, coaching, and support to Foremen to strengthen leadership, communication, and accountability within their teams

·Identifies manpower needs, skill gaps, and training opportunities across assigned areas

·Ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly utilized to support production requirements

·Assists in resolving operational issues, delays, or conflicts that may impact project timelines or crew performance

·Reviews and ensures completion of required documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance-related records

·Supports planning and execution of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) processes across multiple crews

·Participates in daily production, coordination, and safety meetings

·Holds Foremen accountable for crew performance, safety compliance, productivity, and adherence to company standards

·Maintains active field presence to monitor work execution, reinforce expectations, and provide real-time direction to Foremen and crews

·Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

·

·High School Diploma or GED preferred

·Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in production, ship repair, construction, or related operations *Please note that a minimum of 5 years of experience in marine and/or industrial blasting and painting is required for this position.

·Demonstrated experience in a leadership role such as Foreman or equivalent

Strong understanding of multi-discipline operations and coordination across work groups
