Position Summary: 

The General Accountant will manage all forms of financial accounting within the organization. The General Accountant keeps accurate detailed records and prepares P&L, asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information. The General Accountant will compile state and local financial legal requirements in accordance with tax law.

Essential Functions:

• Manage accounting transactions for the Brewery and all Subsidiaries
• Work closely accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll professionals
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts for brewery and subsidiaries
• Complete month-end accounting duties for brewery and subsidiary companies
• Assist with inventory and fixed asset monitoring procedures
• Maintain monthly accruals and ensure accuracy
• Generate and review monthly financial reports
• Assist FP&A team with monthly financial reporting
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Assist with preparation for annual audits
• Evaluate and continually improve accounting procedures and controls
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures and state/federal regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate records, including ledgers, journals, receipts, and invoices
• Assist with monthly state and federal tax filings
• Perform administrative and other tasks as needed

Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 1-2 years of experience
• CPA is optional
• Experience with accrual accounting
• Experience with GSuite
• Expert level experience with Microsoft Excel
