GEA/Multivac Slicing & Packaging Supervisor
The Challenge
Keep the slicing line humming, protect product integrity, and cut downtime. You’ll lead a team on high-speed equipment—driving output while ensuring food safety never slips.
How You’ll Win
- Lead end-to-end slicing operations: staffing, sequencing, and line balance.
- Continuously monitor efficiency, output, and downtime; take corrective action to stay on plan.
- Operate and assist in troubleshooting slicing and packaging machinery, with preference for GEA and Multivac experience.
- Make minor mechanical adjustments; collaborate closely with maintenance for complex issues.
- Verify product loading, alignment, and quality metrics to meet spec every time.
- Apply FDA, FSQA, and internal compliance requirements rigorously.
- Develop your team through training, coaching, and clear performance expectations.
- Attack sources of scrap and rework with root-cause fixes.
- Maintain strict housekeeping and safety standards across the work area.
Qualifications
- Food manufacturing or packaging experience (required).
- Leadership experience as a supervisor or lead (preferred).
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability for on-line troubleshooting.
- Experience with GEA slicers or Multivac systems (strong plus).
- Understanding of FDA regulations and food safety programs (preferred).
- Effective communicator with team leadership skills.
- Spanish language ability is a plus.
Role Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Able to stand for prolonged periods and work in cold environments.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
