In-depth knowledge and experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and tools, including GCP databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB), Data Flow, and related services.
Strong knowledge and experience in administering PostgreSQL databases, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Proficiency in administering MongoDB databases, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
Experience with Google Cloud Data Flow or Apache Beam for data processing and streaming.
Familiarity with database security best practices, including access controls, authentication mechanisms, and encryption.
Proficiency in monitoring and analyzing database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and providing recommendations for optimization.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the ITSCo team, stakeholders, and other technical personnel.
Ability to maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Experience in generating reports on database performance and issue resolution.
Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and integrity of database configurations, access controls, and troubleshooting activities.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
Set up and configure read-only access to PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Data Flow databases for ITSCo team members, following security and access control guidelines.
Investigate and resolve database-related issues, such as performance problems, data corruption, and system failures. Collaborate with the ITSCo team to troubleshoot and implement solutions effectively.
Monitor the performance of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Data Flow databases, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for optimization to ensure efficient database operations.
Ensure that all access controls, authentication mechanisms, and encryption measures are properly implemented and maintained to protect the integrity and security of the databases.
Maintain detailed documentation of access configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Generate regular reports on database performance, issues, and resolutions.
Collaborate effectively with the ITSCo team, providing guidance and expertise on database-related matters. Communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
