The mission of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is to strengthen the health of our rural community by providing accessible high-quality digestive care, fostering strong partnerships with local providers, and supporting patients through every stage of diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management.
Chief Purpose of this Position
The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at VCU is seeking Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Gastroenterologists to work flexible PRN shifts at Community Memorial Hospital located in the scenic and welcoming community of South Hill, Virginia.
Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical
• At least 7 consecutive day commitment • Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm schedule • Sat-Sun call only • 2 days clinic, 3 days procedures weekly
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Board certified or board eligible in gastroenterology from an accredited training program • Virginia licensure or ability to obtain • General gastroenterology position • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty at VCU.
