Join Our Team as a Gastroenterology Program Manager

We are looking for a passionate Gastroenterology Program Manager to support our veterans in Kernersville, NC! This full-time position offers a sign-on bonus and assistance through the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). We also welcome J-1 Visa applicants to apply!

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Section Chief and assist in both administrative and clinical operations, including endoscopy.
  • Oversee daily clinic and endoscopy operations, ensuring optimal utilization in collaboration with Nurse Managers and Health Administration Services.
  • Provide direct supervision to Advanced Practice Providers and support tasks assigned by the Section Chief.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives within the Gastroenterology section.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $350,000 - $400,000
  • Sign-On Bonus: Authorized
  • EDRP: Education Debt Reduction Program Authorized
  • Pay: Competitive salary with annual performance bonuses and regular salary increases.
  • Work-Life Balance: Flexible scheduling options, including standard 8-10 hour workdays and compressed work schedules.
  • Call Schedule: No call responsibilities at Kernersville; optional call at Salisbury VA Medical Center once a week.
  • Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid leave, including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and up to 5 days for CME.
  • Retirement: Traditional federal pension with 5 years vesting and a federal 401K with up to 5% contributions by the organization.
  • Insurance: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance options, many of which can be carried into retirement.
  • Licensure: Must hold one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
  • CME: Potential reimbursement of up to $2,500 per year.
  • Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage included.
  • Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and minimal restrictions on moonlighting.
  • Academic Affiliation: Atrium Health Wake Forest.
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
  • Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
  • Licensure: Candidates must have a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
  • Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty is necessary.
  • Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible and eligible for academic appointment.
  • Experience: No prior experience is required.
