About the Clinician's WorkdayThe gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive inpatient coverage including 24-hour call responsibilities for hospitalized GI patients. Required procedures include colonoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy, hemorrhoidal banding, PEG placement, and management of acute GI bleeding including variceal banding and dilation. ERCP experience is highly preferred for this position. Board certification in gastroenterology and prescriptive authority are mandatory requirements.
