Unit: School Of Medicine MBU: Department Internal Medicine Mission: Our goal of unit The mission of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is to strengthen the health of our community by providing accessible high-quality digestive care, fostering strong partnerships with local providers, and supporting patients through every stage of diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management.

 

Chief Purpose of this Position VCU Health is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Luminal Gastroenterologists to join our expanding team at a new state-of-the-art outpatient pavilion located in Chesterfield County, VA. This premier facility will include an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and a Medical Office Building (MOB) designed to deliver patient-centered, comprehensive outpatient services to the Chesterfield community and surrounding regions. This facility will open in 2027.

 

Duties & Responsibilities • 2 days clinic and 2 days procedures weekly • 1 administrative day at the Chesterfield County ambulatory surgical center (ASC) and Medical Office Building (MOB) • 8-10 weeks of inpatient call at Downtown VCU Medical Center campus per year with fellows and residents • Optional participation in case conferences with fellows

 

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: • Board certified or board eligible in gastroenterology from an accredited training program • Virginia licensure or ability to obtain

Preferred Qualifications: • General gastroenterology position • Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences or a commitment to do so as a faculty at VCU

 

Salary Range Commensurate
