Gas Turbine Mechanic

Summary:

• Location: Houston, TX
• Duration: 12 Months

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble, and perform visual inspection of Rotating Equipment.
• Assist in repairing and modifying non-conforming equipment.
• Perform all tests with minimal instruction.
• Provide technical support across the business while complying with HS&E policies.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent diploma.
• Minimum 5 years of overhaul and repair experience in at least one of the following areas: GE10, PGT 10/PGT 25, Frame 3/Frame 5.
• Good knowledge of HSE requirements and ability to follow and update safety policies and procedures.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with hand, pneumatic, and hydraulic tooling.
• Ability to accurately use precision measuring equipment (ID / OD / depth micrometers, calipers, etc.).
• Deep mechanical aptitude with the ability to independently comprehend complex machining or assembly drawings.
• Experience working as a team member to follow detailed work routers for inspection and repair of units and rotating equipment under time constraints.
• Capability to provide on-site support as needed.
