Job Summary The Gas and Chemical Technician serves as a subject matter expert for gas, chemical, and slurry equipment, providing technical support and problem resolution across multiple facilities in Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. This role supports over 2,000 pieces of distribution equipment from various vendors and plays a critical part in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations. Key Responsibilities Pr ovide technical support and lead troubleshooting for gas, chemical, and slurry equipment. Ensure compliance when writing, editing, and executing operating and maintenance procedures, driving a zero-incident safety and quality culture. Support project and sustaining operations, including safety processes, quality management, preventative maintenance, and training. Install, decommission, troubleshoot, and repair systems including Client Electronics Gas Systems, Applied Energy Systems gas systems, Fuji liquid delivery systems, and Air Liquide Gas and Chemical systems. Perform cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems. Conduct complex troubleshooting and problem resolution for diverse equipment. Participate in comprehensive on-the-job training (OJT) and technical qualification programs, with opportunities for advancement across five technician levels. Manage inventory, offload chemical storage, oversee chemical deliveries, and handle chemical and gas movement. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks for material handling. Required Qualifications Strong technical knowledge of gas, chemical, and slurry equipment. Ability to perform cylinder and drum changes safely and effectively. Experience with troubleshooting and repairing complex distribution systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Commitment to safety and quality standards. Preferred Qualifications (if any) Forklift certification. Barcode system experience. Certifications (if any) Forklift certification preferred. Education: High School Certification: Forklift Certification
