Overview

We are seeking a Garage Underwriter to join our growing team in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with agents, learning complex risks, and helping build a profitable garage book through both new business and renewals.

We value curiosity, initiative, and relationship-building as much as technical experience.

What You’ll Do

• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of garage risks (dealers, repair shops, service operations)
  
• Evaluate risk quality, pricing, and appetite alignment
  
• Work directly with agents and brokers to structure and place business
  
• Drive new business and support profitable renewals
  
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage
  
• Identify growth opportunities within assigned agencies and territories
  

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Insurance, underwriting, brokerage, or agency experience preferred (garage experience not required)
  
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  
• Coachable, curious, and comfortable learning complex risks
  
• Proactive mindset with a focus on growth and results
  
• Ability to balance relationships with sound underwriting judgment
