Position Information

Job Title GA for Student Life & Wellbeing - SLWB Business Office - Graduate Assistant Department SLWB Business Office Essential Functions

The Graduate Assistant will support programs, services, and initiatives within the Division of Student Life and Wellbeing. Responsibilities may include assisting with student programming, supporting student engagement efforts, providing peer mentorship, helping with outreach and communication, and contributing to day-to-day departmental operations.

This is a calendar year Graduate Assistant position with a start date of 8/1/26.

Work Schedule Primarily M-F, 8am-5pm Additional Duties

Additional duties may be assigned based on departmental needs and may include event support, administrative tasks, data tracking, student communication, and collaboration with campus partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Admitted to and enrolled in a University of Nebraska at Omaha graduate program
  • Ability to work 20 hours per week
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to supporting student success, belonging, and wellbeing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and/or previous involvement in student programming
  • Experience with peer mentorship, student leadership, or campus engagement
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and campus partners
  • Interest in student affairs, higher education, wellbeing, or student support services
