The Department of Religion in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) is seeking a FWS Student Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the department, including coordinating office visitors; assisting with designing and distributing department materials, assisting with managing and posting to all department social media platforms, and providing administrative support to the department chair and faculty as needed.

Job Description:

The Student Assistant supports the daily administrative operations of the department by providing exceptional customer service and assisting faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Providing front desk coverage, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries.
  • Assisting with the creation and distribution of the department newsletter.
  • Managing and updating the department’s social media pages.
  • Providing general administrative support, including organizing files and handling correspondence.
  • Assisting with special projects as assigned.
  • Triaging and directing questions to the appropriate faculty or staff members.
Expected Salary:

$15.00/hour

Required Qualifications:

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through Federal Work-Study.
