    The JumpStart RN Program allows you to secure a full-time Registered Nurse role before graduation while receiving monthly financial support during the final months of your nursing program.

    MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN CARDIAC CARE

    7S is a cardiac telemetry unit specializing in heart failure management. Nurses on the unit are trained to care for patients with Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs), gaining valuable experience in advanced cardiac therapies. New graduate nurses can expect to begin VAD training after six months on the unit, while experienced nurses will receive VAD training after orientation.

    How the JumpStart Program Works

    Apply to an open RN position in the specialty or unit that interests you.

    Interview with nursing leadership.

    Receive a job offer and sign a JumpStart agreement.

    Your position will be reserved for you until after graduation.

    Eligibility

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program
    • Expected graduation within approximately 9 months
    • Eligible to work as a Registered Nurse upon successful completion of the program and licensure requirement

    Financial Support

    Participants receive monthly payments beginning with their JumpStart agreement and continuing through one month after graduation, for a maximum of 9 months.

    This support is designed to help nursing students focus on their education while preparing for a successful transition into professional practice.

    After Graduation

    Upon graduation, participants will:

    • Submit NCLEX and Iowa Board of Nursing fee receipts for reimbursement
    • Complete the NCLEX-RN examination and obtain RN licensure
    • Transition into their full-time Registered Nurse position
    • Begin their nursing career with a team committed to professional growth and development
