Description

Funding Analyst 

We are a leading national consumer finance company with a 15-year legacy of stability and success. Following our recent acquisition and the appointment of a new CEO, we are entering a transformative chapter. Pivoting toward a high-growth, tech-forward, and entrepreneurial future. 

We are seeking a Funding Analyst to review, research, analyze, audit, and verify automotive loan applications and adhere to basic tenets of sub-prime auto credit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze the loan applications and documentation to ensure the information is complete, accurate, and complies with company standards, applicable regulations, and secondary market guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively to internal and external personnel regarding application status to inform relevant parties and expedite the validation process.
  • Ensure program eligibility and funding guideline verification procedures comply with all internal policies, fair lending practices, and other applicable federal and state laws. 
  • Meet set goals and targets for productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and relationship management (between Sales, Credit, and the Dealership Manager). 
  • Effectively utilize the tools, resources, and the time available to complete the validation process to ensure the Company is compliant within its guidelines. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners and applicants.
  • Provide exemplary service levels in accordance with internal company policy.
  • Work as a part of a team to ensure that the Company quality and volume objectives are exceeded.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 1+ years' experience in automotive lending or consumer credit environment. Funding or Credit underwriting experience is preferred. 
  • Industry Context: Knowledge of the indirect lending industry, retail installment loan contracts, vehicles and collateral valuation, loan terms including buy rates, contract rates, LTV, front and back LTV, dealer mark-up, reserve and participation, ancillary products, title documentation, lien perfection, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalency required
    • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity and time-sensitive environment. 
  • Proficient or advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Familiarity with Loan Origination systems is preferred.

Location & Work Schedule

  • Location: This role is on-site at our Tempe, AZ location. With the opportunity to become hybrid. 
  • Schedule: Flexibility to work nights, Saturdays, and holidays.
