The Fund Transaction Specialist supports fund management and investment teams by executing and reconciling fund transactions, monitoring cash flows, and maintaining accurate investment records. This role blends operational accuracy, analytical skills, and collaborative coordination to ensure smooth fund operations.
Specialists in this role typically work closely with portfolio managers, finance teams, and external partners to execute capital calls, distributions, and other fund-related transactions efficiently and accurately.
Execute fund-related transactions, including capital calls, distributions, contributions, and transfers
Maintain accurate records of fund activity, positions, and cash balances
Assist with fund cash flow monitoring, reconciliation, and reporting
Collaborate with portfolio managers, operations, finance, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing
Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics to track fund activity and performance
Ensure compliance with fund agreements, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
Identify operational risks, discrepancies, and process inefficiencies, proposing improvements
Prepare daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reports for fund and portfolio teams, as well as senior management
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
Knowledge of fund operations, investment transactions, or portfolio management processes
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with fund accounting or portfolio management systems is a plus
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills
